Vegan chinese food. Great selection and they do the most incredible things with soy!
All the lunches are only $4.99 and they come with healthy brown rice and a spring roll. Most dishes have either textured soy, tofu, or portabella mushroom stems and they are all smothered in some delicious sauce.

This is a fantastic little place. I took some vegetarian friends there recently and they were blown away. The soy is so good, they order it from Taiwan, and that's the only place around you can get it. Highly recommended!

I think the prices have gone up $2 since the previous post for lunch combo prices - they average about $6.50 now. I can't say enough good things - I'm not completely vegetarian, but this is simply the best authentic Chinese food anywhere in Salt Lake City. It is a small location, it's owned and operated by an elderly Asian couple, and they're the folks in the back doing the cooking every single day. The food is always fresh - they have a garden behind the shop during summer months, where they collect herbs and veggies, but I can see that in the winter months (as someone said the food wasn't fresh) it might be hard to get some of the freshest ingredients. At any rate - it's very good food. The building is old, the tables and chairs are old, it's all scuffed and it can appear dirty, but it's not - all new seating would cost a fortune, and these folks aren't in it for high profits. It's why we don't pay $15 a plate to eat there - they love good food, and they treat everyone like family.
