Veg-friendly Middle Eastern Restaurant
Andie's is a large, popular restaurant serving Mediterranean and Greek food with options such traditional items as hummus, falafel, Curried Veggie Couscous and Morroccan Eggplant. They also have more unique items like the "potato chop", which is a large fried ball of mashed potatoes with sauted mushrooms inside.
The menu has a large, separate vegetarian section and all vegan items are clearly marked. A number of items can also be made vegan by omitting cheese.
Meals cost about $11 - $14 and come with an unlimited amount of warm, fresh-baked pita bread (ask for it without butter).

Andie's has two locations, one in Andersonville on Clark at about 5200 N, and the other listed in this entry on Montrose. I highly recommend it because it's very *vegan* friendly. All of the vegan dishes are clearly marked, and there is is a large veg*n menu to choose from all together. The ambiance and the service are also really quite good. They offer pita bread at the start of the menu, but be sure to ask that they bring you the non-buttered version since it's buttered by default.
